THE  FARM
Welcome to Rush Acres Farm! It includes 200 acres of native timber and 207 acres of pasture, hay, and lots of berries, fruit, and nuts. It was originally two large farms that were combined into one, then made into a nature preserve for the last 25 years and the hay has been taken every year. Consequently, the ground has never had pesticides or chemicals put on it and it has never been stripped. Unadulterated clean ground the way mom nature provides, and a rare find for our type of farming. The timber has never been cut and there are 50 pure springs, 3 streams, barn and buildings, 2 dwellings and a large pond  on the property.   As usual, I will always keep the number of each group of animals at the level at which the highest quality can be maintained so that each animal can get the attention it desires and needs. They always tell what they want, either vocally or by physical behavior. Much can be learned by looking into the eyes of an animal. They always express their feelings through their eyes.
Pastured livestock, because they eat high amounts of forage, are lower in saturated fat than conventionally produced animals. Our animals are raised without  antibiotics, steroids, fecal air and artificial light, but instead, with natural vitamins, fresh air and sunshine, clean fresh pasture every day, in small groups, and constant attention to stress management.
