Our laying hens are a premium hybrid cross between a White Rock egg-layer type female and Rhode Island Red male. They are the best brown egg layers available. These chickens are raised without the use of medicine or chemicals and get plenty of fresh air, sunshine, and natural food. They have access to woods paddocks and are moved often to sustain the available resources.
We use the deep litter system in the hen houses, which provides the chickens with a clean, safe, healthy environment. The deep bedding is stirred daily, producing microorganisms that kill bacteria. This system also eliminates the unacceptable odor for which conventional poultry operations are famous.
